Landlords Insurance
As a landlord, it is imperative that you have some form of insurance in place to cover you in the event of the tenants not being able to pay their rent, damage to the property and so on.
There are a number of insurance policies available to you, the most common types are:
- Buildings insurance which covers the premises in the event of fire and smoke damage, theft or vandalism, burst pipes and damage caused by nature.
- Contents insurance which covers the contents which you provide for the tenants to use.
- Rent guarantee insurance which covers you in the event of tenants not paying their rent.
